Registered Training Organizations (RTOs)

Registered Training Organizations (RTOs) are institutions or organizations in Australia that are registered by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) to deliver vocational education and training (VET) courses and qualifications. Within Queensland, the RTOs of note are:

TAFE Queensland: TAFE Queensland is a government-funded training provider that offers a wide range of VET courses, including those related to aged care. They have multiple campuses across Queensland.

Challenger Institute of Technology: Provides courses in aged care and individual support, including Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community).

Australian Healthcare Academy: Offers a range of healthcare and aged care courses, including Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing).

Selmar Institute of Education - Queensland: Selmar operates in multiple states, including Queensland. They offer courses in aged care, including Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing).

Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC): While not an RTO, QTAC facilitates applications to tertiary institutions in Queensland, including those offering aged care and related programs.

Cairns Training Academy: Provides courses in aged care, disability support, and individual support, including Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing).

TAFE Queensland SkillsTech: Focuses on trade and technical skills but may offer some courses related to the aged care sector.
